Workshop Description Who should Attend How to Register
Rummler Process Methodology (formerly Process Design & Management) This workshop presents the latest evolution of Geary Rummler’s robust methodology for analyzing, designing and implementing work processes that align with business needs and the management processes required to ensure continuous alignment. In this update synergies between process change and IT development methodologies are identified and integrated tools for defining business requirements that foster collaboration between process designers and performer experts, both systems and human, are introduced.

The workshop is taught by professionals who have conducted hundreds of successful process improvement projects. In addition to the very practical methodology steps and tools, this course also presents the major concepts and theories that underlie effective process change. With an understanding of these basic concepts, the participants will be able to effectively tailor the steps and tools to for any given process situation. The methodology review is supported by participant based application exercises and simulations that give participants hands-on experience in using the tools and techniques

Process Modeling and Documentation This course is designed to present practitioners with the basic tools and techniques for documenting processes with ample opportunity to apply through case study and exercises. This course will present:
  • an organizing architecture for creating, presenting and maintaining a library of business process models
  • tools and instructions for documenting business processes - obtaining process information, formatting and depicting processes in the form of process maps and other supporting documents
  • tools and instructions for creating some high-level systems views of an organization
  • a model for a process documentation program
  • the basis for establishing process documentation standards for your organization

Process for Managers This workshop is designed to provide managers with an understanding of the role and power of processes in delivering organization performance as well as a set of tools and templates which their organization can use to begin to design, manage and improve processes. Managers will learn how and why processes fail and the critical success factors for any process improvement project.

Process for Management Teams This workshop is designed to provide an intact management team with an understanding of the role and power of processes in delivering organization performance. During the workshop, the managers will develop and analyze models of their organization and its processes in order to build a roadmap for improving and managing those processes. They will identify critical process variables to be managed. Managers will learn how and why processes fail and the critical success factors for any process improvement project.

Metrics and Process Management This workshop presents PDL’s methodology and toolset for designing the planning, measurement, review and management system for processes. Participants will practice the application of the steps and tools through a case study. The two day version provides the opportunity for more extensive practice and application with coaching to the organizations own content.
